For CSE and IIT aspirants

Electrical Engineering(Mains) Booklist

In Uncategorized on June 2, 2010 at 8:43 am

EE paper now a days requires covering of almost entire syllabus. The approach is to read from the textbooks and practice their solved examples and previous year papers of IES(both E&T and EE) and CSE. Also most of the topics are not covered by the single book. I have also given the reference sources. Stick to the syllabus for all the topics.

Paper I

1.  Circuit Theory: A. Chakrabarti(Dhanpat Rai)

2.  Signals and systems: Oppenheim and Willsky. For DFT/FFT, refer to Oppenheim’s book on DSP. For better coverage of z-transform, refer any Indian author.(I had Sanjay Sharma’s book)

3.  E.M. Theory: K.D. Prasad. For Smith chart and other minor topics left refer Jordan & Balmain.

4.  Analog Electronics: J.B. Gupta. For topics like feedback amplifiers and any other topics not covered well in that book refer Sedra & Smith.

5. Digital Electronics: M.Morris Mano

6. Energy Conversion: Ashfaq Hussain. For topics not covered in detail refer Fitzgerald.

7. Power Electronics and Electric Drives: PS Bhimbra

8. Analog Communication: (a) Simon Haykin (b) BP Lathi (c) Singh and Sapre(TMH)

Paper II

1.  Control Systems: Nagrath & Gopal

2.  Microprocessors and Microcomputers: RS Gaonkar

3.  Measurement and Instrumentation: AK Sawhney

4. Power Systems: (a) Nagrath and Kothari (b) CL Wadhwa

5. Power System Protection: (a) CL Wadhwa(only chapters of  psp, circuit breaker)  (b) Badriram &Vishwakarma

6. Digital Communication: Same as Analog Communication. For Data Networks and 7-layered architecture I referred Forouzan(TMH).

  1. Congratulations for getting through CSE with such a gud rank,i had seen your post on the blog of Mr supreet singh gulati,he had promised to discuss Revu’s sir strategy on Electrical, but as he got busy with his training,he never replied.Did u had any interaction with him during ur preparation?what are your suggestion regarding electrical as an optional, people always discourage me from takin it as an optional,as it is too vast.

    • @ayush: i did not have any interaction other than those comments. yes syllabus is vast and paper is lengthy. you have to decide by seeing the syllabus and paper whether you are comfortable or not.

  2. Please tell no.’s of questions attempted by you in EE paper 1 & 2. Also tell no. of marks attempted in EE paper out of 600.

    • @shitanshu: i attempted 600/600. i dont remember their numbers right now.

  3. Which book is it on control system by Nagrath & Gopal?
    1. Control System Engineering
    or 2. Mordern control Systems

  4. hello sir,
i would like to know from you that ,is brilliant tut. notes are good for the preparation of cse xam or we need to stick to standard books which you have listed above.
plz tell me that which books are to be followed for aptitude test as this time csat has been introduced.
wll be thankful to u sir..

    • @rahul: follow only standard books. brilliants material is not well written. wait for the csat pattern and syllabus declaration before knowing any books.

  5. THnaks a lot that u have replied so fast about the standard books. While comparaing i found that i had followed some other books apart from ur suggestions. But anyway blindly this time at least i shall stick to ur shown lists of books and i may have to procure a few.Plz also discuss shortly the pattern of answers ,model approach and all other aspects of one year question paper plus a common and elaborative comprehensive approach for all the parts of the syllabus to attack any question and also easy problem solving tricks.I will remain evergrateful to you Mr. Prakash.

  6. Looking at your EE marks(may be highest ever!), my curiosity increased more. Please take glimpses of EE question papers from UPSC site, then you may tell us which question you did attempt in exam.

  7. sir, please give the strategy to prepare for electrical engineering.
I am an elec & comm student, will i have to study the electrical part also?

Did u study the communication part?
If I leave the electrical part then will I be able to attempt the whole 300 marks paper?

If I have to study the electrical part then which part should I cover?

    • @shubhranshu: i will write my strategy soon. see i had an advantage that iitd electrical constitutes both ee and ec. you need to cover the full syllabus to attempt the entire paper.

  8. Hello sir,
    Congratulations for getting through IAS.

  9. Sir,my branch is Electronics and Telecomm…i am in 1st year of my B.Tech….i wanted to know how much fraction of EE optional is contributed by E & T…..and whether one can comfortably handle EE with E&T background…????

    • No, E&T syllabus do not cover most critical part of mains exam EE syllabus e.g. electrical machines, power systems, power electronics, power system protection etc. So one have to put good amount of self-driven effort for covering those part.

    • @aniket: it becomes very tough for people with ET background.

  10. I have one question. Just looking into 5 year back question papers, definitely one may get idea that how much depth of reading requires from standards books like Electrical Machines – Ashfaq Hussain, power system – Nagrath & Kothari. Did you followed this approach(what is required -> source) for your study? Or in another approach, you might have tried to finish up most of topics from books that you thought may comes under syllabus(exhaustive study approach). It may require reading everything from chapters.

    • @shitanshu: see i had an advantage that iitd electrical covers both electrical and electronics. i went for exhaustive study(covered only topics mentioned in the syllabus) first and then practiced previous year papers.

  11. hello prakash, wil u give us suggestions about the practice questions of electrical engineering.is the material of the books u listed, sufficient for the practice?or u considered any other question bank for practice?please reply with the suggestio for the source of practice questions

  12. For book on Analog Electronics by J.B. Gupta, is it titled “Electronic device and circuits”?

  13. What is title of the book by K.D. Prasad?

  14. thanks Prakash.i want to know how much time one must devote for GS.

  15. prakash sir,
i did my electrical b.tech, not studied communication earlier (though i have a fair idea of AM FM etc.). u have suggested 3 books for communication. can u plz elaborate which topics have to be studied from which book. will selective study for communication serve purpose? earlier i was suggested Schaum series communication problems book by Revu sir. what is your opinion regarding this?
    thanx in advance

    • @babu: BP Lathi is a very good book and it covers almost all the topics. Topics left(like chapter on noise) can be covered from that TMH book. But topic of random process is covered best in the simon haykin. I have no idea about schaum series.

  16. hi Prakash,is simon haykin(commun) not sufficient for theory as well as practice or we consider other books also?

  17. Thank you sir

  18. Hi Prakash, Firstly congratulations on your success. I had read your post on Mr. Supreet’s blog earlier and I read that in your first attempt you got very less marks in Electrical Engg (230, if I remember correctly). Can you elaborate as to what did you do different this time? Please tell as to what mistakes you made in your preparation and how you corrected them?

    • @prince: i did not do anything different. i could not figure out my out mistakes(last years marks are mystery for me). i just practiced more this time.

  19. Hi. Thanks for your reply. I also have another doubt regarding topic of Measurement. Are the topics given in Sawhney in too much detail from exam point of view or is that much detail required? Also since some topics are not part of the regular curricula at IIT-D, did you do any specific courses at IIT-D or at any coaching institute for those topics?

    • @prince: yes, you need to do all the topics mentioned in the syllabus. for courses not covered at iitd i studied on my own.

  20. Thank you Sir for your prompt reply. Your advice would be very valuable to me. I shall trouble you again, if I have more questions as I move along.

  21. Hi Prakash,
Whether the books you have mentioned are good for conceptual clarity??,why i am asking is,you have studied in iit-delhi,there you have got good guidance and might have read many foriegn author books and have learnt the concepts properly,so for this exam you might have practiced problems from these books, but for us it is not so,we have to clear our concepts first,so please do let us know which books you reffered in BTech, which books iit-d has prescribed for electrical engineering course, where in outside market we can get iit-d syllabus copy..Thank you very much for giving us time and sharing your thoughts ..

    • @prathibha: the books which i used in my college(apart from these books) – 1. Circuits-FF Kuo 2. EM Theory – Jordan & Balmein 3.Analog – Sedra Smith 4. energy conversion – PC Sen.
But the booklist is sufficient for conceptual clarity as well as practice.(for energy conversion you may refer to Fitzgerald).

  22. hi prakash,
congrts ….my deepak i hve done my b.tec frm nit calicut…..i m also prep for civil service i gave tis time .as far electrical was consider it was ..k i want knw wat would to cutoffs if u can rember
    last yrs or previous yrs…

  23. hello sir please post the solutions of EE….

  24. Hello Prakash,
Congratulations for your fabulous performance in the Civil services exam!
I have done my BTech from ISM, Dhanbad in Electronics Engineering. I am leaving my job to prepare for CSE. I want to take electrical engineering as one of my optional. For problem solving, I have the option of getting standard booklets provided to students of the Delhi based coaching institute “IES made easy”.
It has concise theory and vast amount of problems with solutions to standard questions taken from IES papers and other standard books.
Should I use it for problem practice or should I stick to practise from standard books which you have mentioned along with previous years’ question papers?

    • @utsav: i will recommend practice from books(solved examples are enough), previous year IES-EE, IES-ET,CSE papers.

  25. Prakash, thanks a lot. Your advice has cleared a good deal of cloud over the method of preparation for the EE paper. 🙂

  26. Hello Prakash,

Please tell me whether we have to do UJT firing ckt.,pulse transformers for firing ckt., triac firing ckt., gating ckt. etc, I mean articles 4.12.3 to art 4.16 in the chapter named THYRISTORS from the book of Power Electronics by P.S. Bhimbhra

    Thanks

    • @sunpreet: yes, they are in the syllabus.

      • Thanks Prakash for your prompt reply,

Also, please tell me whether the whole chapter on Thyristor Communication Techniques (chapter 5 of P S Bhimbhra) is in syllabus or only a part of it. Actually Commutation is not mentioned in the syllabus as such, so I have the doubt.

        Thanks

      • @sunpreet: yes you need to do that.

  27. Hello Sir,
For your interview, how did you prepare for the Electrical part? Is there something that we should be doing now (while preparing for prelims and mains)? Kindly elaborate, how should one prepare to answer probable questions regarding this optional in interview?

    • @prince: you will know once i will post my interview transcript. for now just focus on the written part.

  28. Sir,do u knw ny software 4 making wiring diagrams….like if u knw d components den v cn easily make d wiring?

    • @amogh: what kind of diagram? you want to make ic or pcb? for ic people do manual wiring. for pcb there are lots of software.

  29. 4 pcb…..?

  30. hello sir,
U’ve attempted for 300 marks in each paper.
Maximum we get 170 mins to write the paper and we need to answer atleast 28 sub questions in total.
Sir, could you pls give suggestions to answer fastly within time?, What are the things to keep in mind while answering a particular Q?, and How the preparation should be?

    Thanks.

    • @venkata: the only way to complete the paper is to practice previous year papers within stipulated time. its not 28- atleast 35 in paper-I.
      I practiced around 80 papers-IES-EE,IES-ET,CSE.

  31. Hello Prakash,

Please post the strategy for Electrical Engg mains. We are eagerly waiting. It will be a good guide for all.

    Thanks

  32. Hi Prakash
It would be a great favor if u can guide us about ideal way of answering .Specifically if u have the 2009 paper1 of EE with you, then seeing Q-3a can u please tell me if there is any need to explain in detail the working of the circuits that have the given characteristics. As the question is asking to construct only, can we get away without detailed explanation? The question is a 20 marker and i could figure out both the circuits in about 20 minutes so if i have to explain also then it may take another 5 to 7 minutes and that would be far more than what is actually required. Also in Q no 4c(ii) of the same paper the examiner is asking if the demodulation is possible. For this can we write this? — Since the RC high-pass filter acts as bandwidth-limited differentiator and the condition RC<<1/w implies that the FM frequency band is within the bandwidth of differentiator , the output of RC high pass filter will be the differentiation of FM and will be both FM and AM .Thus envelope detector will be able to extract the message in AM part. This is what i could understand from section on demdulation of FM given in the book by BP LATHI(page 233) .Correct me if it is wrong. Can this type of "theoretical way" (with some mathematical expressions as given in the book by BP LATHI)of answering fetch good marks? or is there any detailed mathematical proof involved in this?
    Kindly suggest.

    • @saurabh: Q4c(ii)- i put emphasis on mathematical expressions. i will prove mathematically why RC<<1/w will be a differentiator. i do not write much theory in such questions.
Q3(a): you need to explain the circuit(if you know beforehand that this question will take time than dont attempt)

  33. hi!!
i have done my btech from NIT suratkal gpa is not very high curruntly woking for IBM !!. Do you think i should opt for electrical or should i go in for humanities subject, i mean were you a brilliant student with a high gpa? does electrical require more effort than humanities?
did you give ies too? please help cz m confused for im not very good at electrical bt thats what i have done in my btech!

    • @nikhil: you can go for any humanities subject if you are not good at electrical. i did not give ies. my gpa was 9.38/10

  34. Hi Prakash,

How were you able to solve so many papers (80 as you say) in exam like conditions considering that time required for GS is very large.
Also since current syllabus came only in 2008, where did you get papers from or did you devise those of your own. Same goes for Math too.

I am sorry if I may sound critical

    Please reply

    Thanks

    • @sunpreet: i had good foundation of ee during my college. all the available time was utilised for practice. nothing is added in the syllabus. you have to leave question which are not there. i have already said that i practiced IES-EE,IES-ET,CSE papers.

  35. Thank you Prakash for your reply . Just one more query — you have mentioned two books on Power Systems one by nagrath and another by wadhawa . I earlier bought wadhawa but if you would say that nagrath is better for this exam i will buy that and read from that only. So will only Nagrath be sufficient for Power Systems?.

Also if u could please upload a few answers, similar to what you wrote in the exam, then that will act as a good guide to us while practising.

    thanks again

    • @saurabh: solved examples of both the books have been asked. read theory from any of them but do examples from both.
i will be uploading sample answers soon.

  36. hi sir i wanted to know if for a numerical simple substitution would suffice or the basis of derivation of the formula..assumptions need a mention?

    • @aman: there cannot be single methodology for all types of answer. if a question is asked for 5 marks, no need of mentioning anything. if a question asked to find gain of amplifier in 10 marks, then derive the formula of gain.
if a formula is standard, no need of mentioning anything. otherwise you have to yourself decide when to give assumptions, derivations.

  37. Hi…i am not able to find one good book on electrical machines,Indian authors have committed a lot of mistakes, regarding polarity and other calculation mistakes, and the way they have solved the examples,is very time consuming from examination point of view.i don’t see them using per unit systems, phasors are confusing. What should i do,to have a command over this topic

  38. sir,
to get around your score in electrical how much one has to attempt correctly in the electrical.

  39. fitzerald does not deal with parallel operation of transformer, scott connection and many other topics within the syllabus….

  40. sir,
Iam in second year btech Electrical from IIT Patna ,will it be fine that i should read books prescribe in IIT syallbus or I have to read the books which you advise ,is there anything analogous to maths that questions which are asked in exam are standard questions of books recommended by you.

    thanks

    • @utsav: read any book which makes you capable of solving the questions that come in exam. questions in ee are not directly picked, you need to be strong in concepts.

  41. Hello Prakash,

This is a question of Elec. Paper -1 2006 Power elec.

Q.5(c)(iii)A fully controlled 3-ph bridge is operating in inverting mode from 220 V, 50Hz. Source inductance per ph is 0.32mH. Conv. is operating with firing advance angle 30 deg., calculate max. current that can be commuted allowing a recovery angle of 5 deg.

Do we have to subtract 5 deg from max overlap angle (i.e. 60 deg), net overlap=55 deg.

    Is the answer 2.8kA (Form. used: V=0=3*Vm*cos(fir. ang + 55)/pi + 3*100*pi*L*I/pi)

  42. when you will be posting your strategy, regarding electrical mains….

  43. please explain topic wise, atleast for core electrical papers, like you have done for maths…

  44. Hi Prakash,

Please tell whether phase controlled ac converters, cycloconverters are in syllabus? They are not mentioned there.

Also syllabus mentions DC-DC converters separately from choppers. What to do with it?

Also there is ‘Switch mode inverter’. This is not in PS Bhimbra. Where can I find it?

    Please do reply,

    Thanks

    • @sunpreet: No, ac converter, cycloconverters are not there. Look at ned mohan(john wiley) book for DC-DC converter and switch mode inverter.

  45. Hi Prakash,

What were the lacunae in your previous electrical paper answering that you could rectify and do remarkably well this time? It would be very helpful if you can upload the answers of electrical as well, as you have done in case of Mathematics; they give good understanding about evaluation scheme, help us in self analysis, which otherwise is difficult. I am gave prelims this time. Please guide us in this regard.

    Thanks.

    • @raju: there was no particular mistake last time. this time i completed the entire paper correctly. i will upload my ee papers soon.

  46. hello prakash, sorry for this annoying question,if this question hurt u than i m really very very sorry..
Is the list of books for EE u provided is genuine. As there r certain rumours that toppers take money from the authors for telling that they have read from those books..if it is so than please dont play with the future of aspirants who r thinking of u as a HERO and thinking u as their role model..
i m not blaming u but this is the question of thousands of aspirants future who rely on u..

i will be happy if u give me the true answer whatever it be

    • @neeraj: if you dont have faith in my integrity regarding this trivial information, no wonder many people have lost faith in country’s bureaucracy.

  47. SIR,congrats for ur success.
I am a 3rd moving electrical engineering student pursuing b.tech from uttar pradesh technical university.
I am immensely interstd in preparing for CSE and IES exams.
SIR,I want to know dat are the books u hav mentioned enough for electrical engg. or i need to refer any of the study materials also.
sir will the decision for opting the material of brilliant tutorial for GATE and IES would be wise for concept clarity and diversified practise?
    pls rply…………

    • @navneet: yes the books are more than enough. brilliants material for ee is not well written, practice from those books and previous year papers only.

  48. Hello Sir,
I went through your blog and there was a goldmine worth info that I have been tryin to procure from the past 3 weeks… Thnks for tat!
I am taking the same optionals as urs and there was a initial shocker that even after attempting 100% u ended up nearly 90 marks less… Please can you let me know if this could have been due to any mistakes in ur paper or purely due to strong moderation? And wat exactly would moderation mean; is it that you will end up wit less marks even if ur whole ans is correct just cause there has to be scaling to performed for engi sub?

    • @manjunath: it is due to moderation. i am not sure if marks are reduced for individual question or there is overall reduction from the final score.

  49. it’s not so that i don’t trust u…but gud friends of 1st ranker told my friend that he had taken money for telling the name of some authors ….i was in contact with u(through ur blog) much before i came to know this thing and i trusted on u ,thats why i was regularly writing to u,,but when i came to know i immediately wrote my previous message to you….

  50. hi sir,
thankyou very much for your quick response the last time. i had another query. in some papers i have observed that topics stated as a part of prelims syllabus (and not the mains) often appear in the mains as well. has the syllabus changed or is it simply that i need to prepare those topics (fabrication, corona etc) with mains in mind as well..thankyou in advance

    • @aman: i did not have ee in prelims. yes mains syllabus was changed in 2008, while prelims remained same.

  51. Hi Prakash,

Please write the detail strategy for Electrical Paper as you have given for Maths as it will be very difficult to manage time during training. Plz post a few of your sample answers. .

  52. congrats sir….!!!

  53. hi sir,

I am friend of Sanjeev Teyagi( he secured 83 rank this time), your college mate from physics engg deptt. 2008 pass out, you might know him.
Electrical Engg is one of my optionals. I have certain queries regarding the same.
    1. You have recommended 3 books for communication but I am refering Singh & Sapre only. I find that it covers complete analogue & digital part except digital data transmossion techniques. Could you pls tell which topics I need to supplement from other books and which books.
    2. It may be bit tiring job for you , I just want to check if i am going on right track. Could you please highlight the chapters (if complete chapter not required kindly mention the topics) which need to be covered from Sawhney, K D Prasad, Wadhwa & Bindra.
    3. Are J B Gupta’s solved examples enough for analogue electronics part. For OP-AMP circuits, function generator, power supply, waveshaping, does J B Gupta adequately covers them.
    Pls reply…

    Thanks

    • @jashandeep: you need to wait for few days, as i dont have books with me right now.

  54. hi sir

please tell me how to prepare for electric engg mains

  55. Hi Sir

Your first attempt score was 230 and second attempt score was 418 in electrical engg. What kind of change of strategy did u adopt during second attempt which resulted in huge surge of marks.

    • @jashandeep: see, i expected 350 last time, but was unfortunate to get meagre 231. this time i just practised again all those things. and was able to complete entire paper correctly.

  56. What is the title of book by B.P Lathi ?

    Communication systems
    OR
Modern digital & Analog communication systems.

    Next doubt from Forouzan. .
Which is/are the chapters covering DATA networks. I got the 7 layer architecture but which chapter covers data ntworks?

    • @mayuresh: it is modern digital and analog communication systems. cover couple of initial chapters of forouzan.

  57. hello sir first of all congratulations for achieving this splendid feat. sir u have a doubt i am in my finall year of b.tech at pantnagar in electrical. i am quite interested for selecting mathematics along with geography for IAS. sir can you pls advice me whether the mere interst criteria would suffice for selecting such a vast syllabus subject for maths like me being not an IITian

    • @dushyant: both interest and aptitude should be criteria for selecting maths, as the competition is relative.

  58. Sir,

Please could you let me know the title of the book by Ashfaq Hussain?
Also, is Singh and Sapre req…i am currently having simon haykin and BP Lathi?

    • @manjunath: i dont remember the title of ashfaq hussain book. singh and sapre covers noise part which is not sufficiently covered in haykin or lathi.

  59. hi sir,
Testing of DC machines is to be done or not. Also topics from Ashfaq Hussain should be done as per syllabus or exhaustively. Otherwise, what should be the approach.

    Thanks

    • @jashandeep: cover the topics as per the syllabus. also you should be able to do previous year IES papers. do not cover testing of dc machine.

  60. Sir, the problem i am facing is neither that electrical is too difficult to grasp nor the examination questions are beyond the capacity to be tackled but the dilemma is regarding what is to be done, what is to be left, from where it is to be done and how much it is to be done. So it would be really kind of you, if you could help the electrical optional students in this context. Since the mains examination is around the corner so it would be really helpful if you could provide detailed and comprehensive approach of the subject including which topics of recommended books has to be done (as per syllabus) because its really confusing & time consuming to adjudge whether the topic is important or not from examination point of view. Time is ripe that you upload your strategy, I will be obliged for your favour.

    Thanks

  61. which book u referred for electrical machines?? please mention it.

  62. Ashfaq hussain for electrical machines, and For topics not covered in detail refer electrical machines by Fitzgerald.

  63. He has already given the name of the books,The thing which is left is detailed strategy for mains(electrical)…..

  64. Hi prakash congrates!
please give me some tips on how to represent the answers creatively in GS AND ESSAY.
How to keep tact of representation .
    THANKS

  65. Dear all with Electrical engg. optional,

I cleared prelims (net Pre score – 65 in electrical and 50 in GS = 212.5 marks category OBC)
I have been writing this exam for the last two years.
This is my 3rd attempt with Electrical.
The main problem I faced in my earlier attempts is the very few no. of people attempting with Electrical Engg. It makes difficult to check the answers and also finding the worked examples from which book the questions have been asked after mains. As usual, We may be thinking that our answers are right and finally landing up in scores around 250 or less.
Cross checking of answers and discussion of questions will be helpful in assessing scores pragmatically and also for improving our performance in next attempts.
So far, there is no active forum of serious aspirants with electrical optional.
First time I’m finding many aspirants with electrical optional in this blog.
Prakash sir may become busy after starting of foundation course. My appeal to u all is that we can use this blog as a way of communication in our preparation (With permission of Prakash sir). Plz let the blog active and rocking..

    All the best..

    Babu

  66. Hello sir,
I am working PSU & iam pursuing my BE in evening My stream is Electronics and Communication.I have to appear for Upsc in elecrical engg. branch. i have seen booklist wat u have given in ur blog, please mention the title of Text books.and wat are topics to be covered in energy conservion, power sytem, power system protection

    • @tajamul: i think bookshop can give books on the basis of author name and topics. you can see exact list of topics from syllabus given the upsc website. i will be updating about the topics from book as soon as i get access to my books.

  67. SIR,namaskar
w.r.t concepts & feeling of electrical engg i m excellent.I have good interpretation of all the topics & also i know which topic i to be prepared from which book.Still i am not able to score very gud marks in subjective kind of papers.could u pls help me.
    Regards

  68. thank you sir, for your valuable suggestion

  70. hi all
someone please provide the solution to the question no 2(c)(i) paper 1 mains electrical 2009. I think we might be needing some data on volatge. I saw a similar problem in the book by P S Bhimbra (example no 12.16 page 612) where data on volatge is given

  71. hi all
someone please provide the solution to the question no 2(c)(i) paper 1 mains electrical 2009. I think we might be needing some data on voltage. I saw a similar problem in the book by P S Bhimbra (example no 12.16 page 612) where data on voltage is given

  72. @ those all who gave mains 2010.

how do u feel about papers? what was your attempt?

my experience is horrible with paper 1, too lengthy to do even though we know answers for many questions. my attempt was 190-200 marks in paper 1.
paper 2 was quite okay except control systems problem in 5a q. my attempt is around 250.
